CNBC recognized the Research Triangle Park as a major catalyst for North Carolina’s successful economy. The Research Triangle is one of the fastest-growing areas in the U.S., with a population that’s boomed by 5.6% since 2020 to 2.4 million people, according to Census data. North Carolina’s economy once heavily relied on tobacco, textiles, and furniture. The cooperative efforts between governments, businesses, and universities in 1959 led to RTP’s creation to lure companies to the talent that was created by the three major universities in the region. Today, the Triangle region has about 4,000 tech and 600 life science companies, and more than 300 companies are headquartered in RTP alone! Ready to find a new job?
