Q&A
Find out more about life in the Triangle, directly from Adam Klein!
What activity in the Triangle should be on everyone’s bucket list?
I’m a big fan of getting coffee/pastries at Guglhupf and then walking Duke Gardens on a Saturday morning in the spring. The landscape is stunning and it’s an easy walk (and I can generally keep my kids from jumping into the duck ponds). Besides that, I’d say attending a Durham Bulls game (and walking through the Tobacco Campus, of course!). The team is so iconic and the experience of watching a game in the summer with a cold, local beer and fun crowd cannot be beat.
What restaurant meal embodies the Triangle for you?
Boricua Soul. It’s a Puerto Rican soul food restaurant led by a husband and wife team (Tori and Serena). They are incredible people who are so invested in the city, its music scene and culture. The food blends together many styles and is delicious…and you can’t beat eating it on their patio overlooking the waterfall at ATC and the Lucky Strike water tower.
What makes the Triangle different from other places you have lived, worked or visited?
The Triangle is a large enough metro to work with world-class companies and on complex issues but small enough that you can say ‘hi’ to familiar faces and friends as you walk around downtown on a Friday night.
